Admittedly: When TÜV Süd calls, we are also a little nervous. After all, TÜV Süd is legendary as a test centre – our livestream technology has to work perfectly here too. After a week of livestreaming, we can say: It was a great event. Or in the words of Mr Klaric, the manager responsible:
“The first feedback says that our event last week was a very good success, to which your staff had made a significant contribution. In addition to their professional competence, we were impressed by their commitment, flexibility and active thinking.”
5-day livestream from the head office in Munich
Many of the livestreams we do for clients are one-off events. Sometimes we stream a press conference, sometimes an annual general meeting or a cultural event. For TÜV Süd, it was about internal training and exam preparation in the field of medical technology. Of course, this is not an easy topic. Therefore, lectures (Notified Body Training) served as support for the learners for one week. In addition to the many internal TÜV Süd experts, Bundesliga referee Lutz Wagner also addressed the participants as a motivational speaker.
Live broadcasts from Holland, Japan and the USA
TÜV Süd is a global company with around 24,000 employees. That is why many of the experts who are connected do not live in Germany, but throughout Europe or even overseas. Technically this is not a problem for us. But since we contacted the experts before the live event as part of our professional preparation, we had to get up early or stay awake late. But for us, this preparatory work is part of every live event, because it allows us to correct any difficulties (such as internet, image or sound problems) before the event.

Livestream equipment for high-quality images and sound
Especially when a livestream is aimed at learners, high picture quality and sonorous acoustics are important. How can you learn successfully if the sound is noisy and the picture is pixelated? We have selected three high-quality PTZ cameras from the Prankl Media Park. These pan-tilt-zoom cameras can be panned as well as remotely controlled and allow control by only one camera operator. The lecturing experts from Munich were wired with headsets with radio transmission. The advantage of headsets over handheld microphones: No matter how much the speaker moves his head, the sound strength always remains the same.
Microsoft Teams Livestream for over 500 viewers
The internal event was broadcast via Microsoft Teams. With such a complex topic, many questions naturally arose from the participants. The diligent TÜV Süd team answered most of them directly in the chat. The most interesting questions were shown directly to the moderators via our moderator screen, in order to answer them directly in the livestream.

Live and on-demand: using Livestream twice
A livestream (almost) for eternity: the individual presentations were recorded by us, then edited and made available to staff internally as a learning video. This means that a livestream can also be used for internal or external communication after the event. So with a livestream you win twice!
Now we are TÜV-certified 😉
ell, at least a little bit: Because as a thank you, we received certificates from TÜV Süd attesting to our “fitness for use under extreme environmental conditions”. In addition, we are described as “energetic, humorous, professional and competent”. Many thanks to the friendly team of TÜV Süd for this nice attention, which we were very pleased about.
