Trade fair year 2025 in Munich – a year of superlatives

A special year for the trade fair metropolis

2025 is a very special year for Messe München. Only every twelve years does the trade fair calendar turn out to be as rich in top events as this time. Eight world-leading trade fairs, the IAA MOBILITY and around 80 other guest events will turn Munich into an international meeting place for business, science and innovation this year. The exhibition halls will thus become a stage for global trends – and Munich will benefit more than almost any other city in Europe.

Economic engine for the region

The significance for the city and the region could hardly be greater. In the 2025 Munich trade fair year, the trade fair will set new standards with an expected turnover of over 500 million euros in Munich alone. The resulting purchasing power of around four billion euros will directly benefit the Bavarian capital and the surrounding area to the tune of 80 percent. Hotels, restaurants, retailers and numerous service providers will benefit directly from the trade fair boom in 2025.

Global appeal through internationality

The trade fair year is not only a local event, but above all an international one. During the 2025 Munich trade fair year, more than half of the exhibitors and a third of the visitors come from abroad, which underlines the character of Messe München as a global hub. Companies and trade visitors from China, the USA and Italy will be represented. This makes Munich a platform where the world meets to forge new partnerships and develop markets.

Highlights in the trade fair calendar

One highlight is the IAA MOBILITY 2025 in the 2025 Munich trade fair year, which focuses on the mobility transition. Topics such as electromobility, smart mobility and public transport systems make it one of the most important international forums for the future. bauma, the world’s largest trade fair, is also returning to Munich and transforming the city into the center of the global construction industry. There are also leading trade fairs such as the World of Photonics and analytica, which present world-class technological innovations.

Innovation as a trademark

Messe München stands not only for greatness, but also for progress. Innovation prizes, such as the Photonics Award, regularly recognize groundbreaking developments that have an impact far beyond the trade fair. Whether new laser technologies, sustainable materials or digital applications – Munich is becoming the laboratory of the future. It offers companies the opportunity to present their ideas to a global audience for the first time.

Globally networked, locally anchored

In addition to the events in Munich, Messe München organizes almost 50 events worldwide. From America to Asia and the Middle East, it takes Munich’s trade fair expertise out into the world. At the same time, the city itself remains the central location and benefits from close links with research, start-ups and global corporations. This is what makes Munich unique: international aspirations and local strength go hand in hand.

Proud to be part of it

As the official service partner of Messe München, it is a special pleasure for us to accompany this mega trade fair year 2025 Munich. With our livestreams, trade fair films and social media clips, we help exhibitors to make their innovations visible not only on site, but also digitally worldwide. We experience first-hand how exciting it is when international brands and local expertise come together. 2025 impressively demonstrates why Messe München is one of the world’s leading trade fair venues – and we are proud to be able to make our contribution.
