How often? And for how long? These two questions influence the cost of live streaming at trade fairs. More does not necessarily mean more expensive. An example:
Whether you plan a live stream of 30 minutes, or whether the live stream lasts 2 hours, or whether there are two broadcasts of 1 hour each in a certain period of time – this does not affect the basic costs for providing a stream. In this area, we are still in the process of covering the “basic costs” for the setup and technology. Please note, however, that livestream costs at trade fairs can also be influenced by other factors.
The more days are planned for the live stream, the better the costs for the required technology are distributed. With many providers, this point is calculated on a decreasing basis. The first day means the one-off rate for the technology provided. The following day, however, is calculated with a 30% discount and then in descending order for the following days. This means that livestream costs at trade fairs can be lower the longer the event lasts.
Of course, it doesn’t just make sense to send out as many streams as possible in order to optimize the costs, but the content, protagonists and programme have to fit. However, if you have content for more than one day of streaming from the trade fair: Don’t be afraid to ask your professional provider for two / three or four day events. Livestream costs at trade fairs can vary, but it could be worth it for you!
