Skalierbare Unternehmenskommunikation

When 10,000 employees click at the same time

How Stream1 makes global corporate communications stable and scalable

3:30 p.m., global precision landing: At this moment, thousands of employees of a leading automotive group click on the same button – “View now”.

A global quarterly meeting starts. And with it, thousands of streams at the same time.

For us at Stream1 , it was clear that for such a moment to work smoothly, the platform must be designed for stability and scalability. That’s why we designed our infrastructure in such a way that it performs reliably even with high simultaneous usage – worldwide and without interruptions.

Four servers, one system: scaling as required

In order to keep the stream stable even with a high number of simultaneous viewers, we have distributed the platform across four powerful servers.

This enabled us to balance global traffic in a targeted manner and react flexibly to peaks – without any risk to performance or stability.

Around 9,500 employees logged in at the same time. The systems were stable throughout, with generous performance reserves. And best of all, our infrastructure can be scaled up at any time – whether 10,000, 50,000 or more simultaneous accesses.

👉 Our principle: We prefer to size with a reserve instead of driving at the limit.

AI in the stream: comprehensibility in every language

The Group operates globally – and not everyone speaks the same language. This is why AI-supported live subtitling and translation was used directly in the stream for the first time.

The AI was trained in advance on the automotive group’s internal technical terms and abbreviations. The result: precise transcriptions in real time – not generic, but tailored precisely to the corporate culture.

The result was a livestream that everyone could understand – whether they were in Munich, Shanghai or Detroit.

More than transmission: creating real participation

A corporate stream is more than just a signal. It is an experience that connects people.

Thanks to live subtitling, a classic one-way communication was transformed into an inclusive, global community experience. Employees on all continents were able to follow the content simultaneously – and really understand it.

A strong sign of participation and appreciation:

Every click counts. Every employee counts.

Why oversizing secures events

Of the 10,000 employees invited, 9,500 took part. This is completely normal: parallel appointments, time zone differences or the preference for a later on-demand video all play a role.

The important thing is that the infrastructure must be prepared for the worst-case scenario. The cost of high-performance servers is minimal compared to the damage that a technical failure during an important quarterly meeting would cause.

A technical failure at full load would have far more serious consequences than unused server capacity.

Vision of the future: hybrid, inclusive, scalable

This project shows where corporate communication is heading: hybrid, global, barrier-free – and technically scalable.

When servers, AI and streaming infrastructure work together perfectly, communication becomes effortless. Then the focus is no longer on the technology, but on what really counts: the message.

Our enterprise streaming solution is based on GDPR-compliant server locations in Germany – particularly important for groups with sensitive company data.
