Our technical expert at Stream1, Michael Bamberger, explains to students at the Macromedia Academy the many possible uses of vMix in live streaming and shows live how the software supports production workflows.
Our workshop focused not only on the operation of the vMix interface, but also on the strategic thinking behind modern live video formats such as the switch from classic landscape format to vertical output, which is becoming increasingly important today. Especially in live streaming, vMix shows its strengths through flexible image formats that can be adapted to different playout channels – a topic that we discussed intensively in the workshop.
The students were given practical insights into how professional livestreams are set up and controlled, and were able to get to grips with the software themselves. The exchange in the workshop made it clear how important technical know-how in dealing with tools such as vMix has become for creative and professional live productions. Such practice-oriented training courses help to prepare the next generation of livestream producers for current and future requirements.
