From the very beginning, Stream1 has relied on PTZ cameras. They are easy to operate, do not require a camera operator for each camera, and can be integrated into any livestream setting to save space.
PTZ stands for Pan-Tilt-Zoom and describes cameras that can move, pan and zoom in any direction. This flexibility allows our camera operator to capture any desired subject. Another benefit of Canon’s new PTZ cameras is video over IP: Via Wifi, 4G/LTE or LAN, the integrated IP communication chip connects to the Internet and allows them to be controlled from anywhere. This feature is particularly relevant for live streams, for example, when we want to film a large stage with multiple cameras. This is because the camera operator accesses and controls the camera from a remote location.
Our PTZ cameras from Canon offer excellent image quality and clarity. 15x optical zoom, 4K UHD recording, and an optical image stabilizer are just a few cornerstones of the new cameras. In addition, the CR-N500 is equipped with Canon’s renowned Dual Pixel CMOS AF. This means that extremely fast and precise focusing is possible via various modes. This is especially useful for live streams, where you often have to switch between different speakers.
