BIM World Munich 2026: Two days of the trade show, content for many months

author:

Two days at the trade show, countless conversations, exciting product presentations, and plenty of new contacts. And after that? The booth is taken down, the team heads home, and—in the best-case scenario—all those great stories don’t just disappear into the photo archive.

Yet a trade show appearance holds an incredible amount of potential for great content. BIM World Munich 2026 is a perfect example of this. After all, where innovative technologies, digital construction projects, and inspiring minds come together, there’s plenty to talk about. You just have to capture those stories.

BIM World 2026: Where the digital construction industry comes together

On November 24 and 25, 2026, BIM World MUNICH will take place at the ICM – International Congress Center Messe München. The event is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year and brings together experts from the construction, real estate, and facility management industries. The focus will be on topics such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twins, artificial intelligence, and the digitization of construction processes. Over 250 exhibitors will present their solutions and demonstrate what the future of planning, construction, and operations might look like. For companies, BIM World is an excellent opportunity to showcase their technologies to an international audience of industry professionals. But when it comes to complex software solutions in particular, one question arises: How do you explain in just a few seconds what makes your product special?

Complex technologies need good stories

No matter how innovative a piece of software may be, if no one understands the value it offers, it will be difficult to generate enthusiasm. This is exactly where videos come in. A short interview with a developer, a conversation with a customer, or a glimpse of a product demonstration can often convey more than a lengthy presentation.

What’s particularly fascinating are the people behind the technologies. Why was a particular solution developed? What challenges does it solve? And how does it change day-to-day work in the construction industry? Stories like these make even complex topics easy to understand. And they work not only at the trade show booth, but also on LinkedIn, the company website, or in subsequent customer communications.

Stream1 at BIM World: We’re following a software developer

We at Stream1 will also be on site at BIM World 2026. We’re handling professional video and photo production at the trade show for an internationally active software company in the infrastructure and digital planning sector. Our goal isn’t simply to capture a few nice shots of the booth. We want to showcase what makes the company unique and highlight the people and ideas behind its solutions.

To that end, we conduct interviews, capture the atmosphere at the trade show booth, and produce high-quality photos and video footage. We then use this material to create a concise trade show film that combines the most important highlights with personal statements from the interviewees. In addition, we produce professional photos and selected still images that can be used for future communications. Ultimately, the result should not merely be a memento of two days at the trade show, but content that the company can continue to put to good use weeks and months later.

A day at a trade show can provide content for many channels

Anyone planning a professional video shoot at a trade show shouldn’t limit themselves to just the traditional trade show video. A well-prepared day of filming can often yield a wide variety of content. For example, a longer interview can serve as the basis for several short social media clips. High-quality footage of the trade show booth is ideal for the website, while professional photos can later be used in presentations, press releases, or LinkedIn posts. It’s crucial to consider what content is needed even before the trade show. Who should appear on camera? What messages should be conveyed? And where will the material be published later? This way, a single day of filming becomes a content production that has a much longer-lasting impact than the actual trade show appearance.

Exhibition video, interviews, and photography straight from BIM World Munich

As an official service partner of Messe München, we’re familiar with the processes at the exhibition grounds and know what’s important when filming during an ongoing event. After all, a trade show isn’t a movie studio. Between client meetings, product presentations, and last-minute appointments, there’s often little time for elaborate film shoots. That’s why we use compact, professional production equipment and coordinate filming so that it disrupts trade show operations as little as possible.

Whether it’s interviews with experts, high-quality trade show photography, a promotional video of the booth, or short clips for social media: We handle the filming on-site and, if desired, editing and post-production as well. And if content needs to be published right during the trade show, we can also assist with rapid production. Live streams from the booth are also part of what we offer.

After BIM World comes the next event

BIM World Munich offers exhibitors two days full of opportunities to make new contacts and showcase their innovations. With the right photos and videos, the impact of their presence can extend far beyond November. We’re certainly looking forward to being out with our camera again at BIM World 2026.
