8:47 a.m. Messe München.
The halls are still surprisingly quiet. Here, a brochure stand is being adjusted; there, the coffee machine is already running at full speed. The first exhibitors are standing at their booths, the final displays are being turned on, and somewhere, a shipping crate is still rolling down the aisle. In just a few minutes, everything will look completely different.
Because when f.re.e opens its doors in Munich in 2027, travel, leisure, outdoor activities, caravanning, cycling, and water sports will come together for thousands of visitors.
Our camera has been on for quite a while now.
9:03 a.m.: The first photos of the day
Before the booths get really crowded is a good time to take your first shots. The booth looks just as planned, the exhibits are in place—and, most importantly, no one who doesn’t belong there is walking through the frame yet. So: Get the camera out. Close-ups of the booth. Products. Logos. Wide shots. A few moving shots through the hall. What might later be just three seconds in a reel is being captured right now.
After all, trade show content isn’t just about pointing a camera at something whenever you feel like it. Good photos come from knowing when and where to take them.
11:32 a.m.: It’s getting crowded now
Two hours later, there’s not much left of the morning’s calm. Visitors are gathered at the booths, products are being tested, conversations are taking place, and new products are being explained. It’s exactly this atmosphere that defines a trade show like f.re.e. And it’s right now that the photos are taken—the ones that show there’s actually something happening at a booth.
For exhibitors at f.re.e 2027, we can use this footage to produce, for example, short social media videos, Reels, interviews, or a trade show film. Not every clip has to look like a glossy commercial. On the contrary: especially on social media, trade show content can be fast-paced, direct, and a little more up-close and personal. After all, f.re.e is happening right now. So why wait three weeks to talk about it?
1:16 p.m.: “Can we do a quick interview?”
We can. And you hear that phrase surprisingly often at trade shows.
Maybe a CEO is at the booth right now. An expert has ten minutes to spare. A partner company has stopped by on the spur of the moment. Or a product needs to be presented in more detail. These are exactly the kinds of situations that make for excellent content at a trade show.
A short interview, a statement, or a product presentation doesn’t necessarily require a huge set. With professional camera and audio equipment, you can film right at the trade show booth. And in the best-case scenario, a ten-minute conversation can yield not just one video, but several short clips for LinkedIn, Instagram, or your own website.
3:04 p.m.: We’re live
Not everything at f.re.e has to stay inside the exhibition halls. A new product launch, a conversation with experts, or a presentation at the booth can also be streamed live from f.re.e 2027—to your own website, on social media, to an internal platform, or directly to customers, partners, and employees who aren’t currently in Munich. For one hour, the exhibition booth becomes a small studio.
The cameras are rolling, the microphones are on, and the stream is live. And somewhere a few hundred kilometers away, someone is watching f.re.e from their office.
5:41 p.m.: One last shot
The pace slows down. There are fewer conversations. By now, the coffee is mostly symbolic. Time for the final shots. Maybe a brief wrap-up in front of the camera. A tour of the booth. A statement about the day at the trade show. Or simply a few shots that will later serve as the closing scenes of the trade show video.
Then: Turn off the camera.
At least for today.
And tomorrow?
Here we go again. Because f.re.e 2027 provides exhibitors with new situations, stories, and content opportunities every day. We at Stream1 support companies right on the grounds of Messe München—from individual social media clips to interviews and trade show videos, all the way to professional livestreams from the booth.
As an official service partner of Messe München, we’re not only familiar with cameras, microphones, and streaming technology, but also with the on-site procedures and conditions. That makes a lot of things easier—especially at 8:47 a.m., when the halls are still empty—and the camera is already rolling.
Feel free to call us at 089 41 41 453 10 for a no-obligation introductory meeting, or send us an email at hello@stream1.eu.
